ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

 WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

 NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF U10404 WESTBOURNE STREET, BEWDLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

 

Reason for restriction: Water ingress damage repairs. There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with B4195 Stourport Road to its junction with B4190 Kidderminster Road.

2. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 5 days (24hrs) commencing 27 August 2025. 

3. Alternative routes: B4195 Stourport Road, B4190 Kidderminster Road and vice versa.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

Reason: Drainage and flood alleviation works by STW

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4190 Kidderminster Rd, A456 Bewdley Bypass, B4195 Stourport Rd (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 38 days (24hrs) Commencing: 1 October 2025

Closure 3 – B4190 Cleobury Road from its junction with A456 Long Bank Roundabout to its junction with U10533 Cleobury Rd Service Rd.
