Order made: to close that part of Closure 1 – B4190 Load Street (Eastbound Closure Only) from its junction with U10500 Severn Side South to its junction with B4190 Beales Corner. Closure 2 – B4190 Beales Corner (Eastbound Closure Only) from its junction with B4190 Load St to its junction with B4190 Kidderminster Rd.
Reason: Drainage work for flood alleviation by Forkers Ltd

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4190 Welch Gate, B4190 Winbrook, B4190 Cleobury Rd, A456 Bewdley Bypass, A456 Stourport Rd, A456 Bewdley Bypass, B4190 Kidderminster Rd and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months.  Anticipated duration: 45 days (24hrs) Commencing: 1 October 2025

Closure 3 – B4190 Cleobury Road from its junction with A456 Long Bank Roundabout to its junction with U10533 Cleobury Rd Service Rd. Closure 4 – A456 Long Bank from its junction with A456 Long Bank Roundabout for a distance of 70 metres in a westerly direction.

Order made: to close that part of: a) Footpath BW-538 from the north end of the Rowing Club (grid ref: 378634, 275616) to the bridge (grid ref: 378754, 275480). b) Footpath BW-541 for its whole length from the Bridge End to Butt Town Meadow. c) Footpath BW-543 from Beale’s Corner (grid ref: 378788, 275456) to Pleasant Harbour (grid ref: 378822, 275523). d) Footpath BW-640 from Stourport Rd (grid ref: 378911, 275332) to Acacia Ave (grid ref: 379081, 275086).

The Order has been made due to flood defence construction.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Footpaths BW-538 & BW-541 Diversion – B4190 Beales Corner, B4190 Kidderminster Rd, U13012 Northwood Ln, U10301 Riverway Dr, U10302 Nursery Rd, Footpath F10533 to public park and vice versa.

Footpath BW-543 Diversion – B4190 Beales Corner, Footpath F10640 to Pewterers Alley, Footpath BW-543 Pleasant Harbour and vice versa.

Footpath BW-640 Diversion – B4195 Stourport Rd, Bridleway BW-644 Acacia Ave and vice versa.

The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months continuing on from 8 September 2025.

Bridleway closure

Notice of closure of Bridleways BW-538, BW-541, BW-543, and BW-640, Bewdley, Worcestershire

It appears to Worcestershire County Council that as a result of flood alleviation works, there is a need to close the following highways: –

1. The effect of the Notice is that no person shall proceed along:
2. a) That part of Bridleway BW-538 from the north end of the Rowing Club (grid ref: 378634, 275616) to the bridge (grid ref: 378754, 275480).
3. b) Bridleway BW-541 for its entire length from the Bridge End to Butt Town Meadow.
4. c) That part of Bridleway BW-543 from Beale’s Corner (grid ref: 378788, 275456) to Pleasant Harbour (grid ref: 378822, 275523).
5. d) That part of Bridleway BW-640 from Stourport Road (grid ref: 378911, 275332) to Acacia Avenue (grid ref: 379081, 275086).

2. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 5 days (unless further provision is made for its continuance). It is anticipated that it will remain in force for 5 days commencing 8 September 2025

• The alternative routes will be signed on site.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
