Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (Wyre Forest District – Kidderminster area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 (Variation) Order 2025 (Prohibition of Waiting on Wyre Hill & Cleobury Road, Bewdley]

Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Bewdley:-

Cleobury Road (southeast side) – from its junction with Wyre Hill for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction.

Wyre Hill (north side) – from its junction with Cleobury Road for a distance of 46.3m in an easterly direction.

Wyre Hill (south side) – from its junction with Cleobury Road for a distance of 59m in an easterly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.

Worcestershire County Council in exercise of their powers under Section 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 4(2), and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (which said Act is hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and of all other powers them enabling in that behalf, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act of 1984, hereby make the following Order:‑

 

  1. 1. The Worcestershire County Council (Wyre Forest District – Kidderminster area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 is hereby varied by the attachment thereto of the plan attached to this Order (which has the effect of imposing on the sides of roads identified in the plan attached to this Order a prohibition of waiting in accordance with the provisions of the Consolidation Order).

 

  1. 2. The Order shall come into operation on XXXXX 2025 and may be cited as Worcestershire County Council (Wyre Forest District – Kidderminster area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 (Variation) Order 2025 [Prohibition of Waiting on Wyre Hill & Cleobury Road, Bewdley]

Worcestershire County Council propose to make an Order for facilitating the safe passage on the roads or any other road of any class of traffic and for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the roads or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

 

It is considered that the Order will contribute to the securing of the expeditious, safe and convenient movement of all traffic (including pedestrians) and will have no adverse effect on other considerations contained in s.122 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Order made: to close that part of U10227 Severn Side North from its junction with B4190 Load Street for a distance of 28 metres in a north easterly direction and to temporarily suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Severnside North, Bewdley) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1991 to allow two-way traffic to enable access residents for and businesses for the duration of the Order.

Reason: repairs to parapets and wing wall by WCC.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF U10202 DRY MILL LANE, BEWDLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

 

Reason for restriction: Burst water main. There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

 

  1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U10201 Hop Pole Lane to its junction with U10215 The Lakes Road.

 

  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 1 day (24hrs) commencing 3 April 2025.

 

  1. Alternative routes: U10215 The Lakes Road, B4190 Cleobury Road, U10201 Hop Pole Lane and vice versa.

Notice of closure of Footpath BW-546, Bewdley

(“the highway”) as an Emergency Measure.

 

 

It appears to Worcestershire County Council that because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to tracing pipe obstructing the flood defense construction. There is an urgent need to close the highway immediately in the following terms: –

 

  1. The effect of the Notice is that no person shall proceed along Footpath BW-546, Bewdley for its entire length.

 

  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days (unless further provision is made for its continuance). It is anticipated that it will remain in force for 21 days.

 

  • The alternative route is along (clockwise) footpath BW-670, Kidderminster Road B4190 in Bewdley and vice versa.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

  1. Alternative routes: – U10511 Sand Bank (part), B4190 Welch Gate, B4190 Winbrook, B4190 Cleobury Road, U10512 Merricks Lane, U10511 Wyre Hill and vice versa.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

No access for emergency vehicles, the diversion route must be maintained.
