Wyre Forest District Council Homelessness survey launched
Residents are being urged to have their say on the future of Worcestershire’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
The strategy was introduced in 2019 by all councils in Worcestershire.
An online survey has been launched by Wyre Forest District Council asking respondents to comment on proposed changed to the current strategy’s priorities.
The priorities have been updated following the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on tackling homelessness and rough sleeping across the county.
It is hoped the refreshed priorities will build on the excellent partnership work that has taken place throughout the pandemic and support initiatives across Worcestershire to prevent homelessness.
Councillor Nicky Martin, Cabinet Member for Housing, Health, Wellbeing and Democratic Services said: “Local councils are working tirelessly to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping.
“The strategy is an important document that outlines how councils across Worcestershire are preventing homelessness where they can, intervening for those in crisis and helping people recover that have experienced homelessness.
“The survey can be completed by visiting our website – www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/HRSStrategyconsultation. Please get your responses in before it closes at 5pm on Monday 1 November 2021.”
The strategy expires in 2022, it will then be replaced by a new strategy.
