Owners of vans and key-less vehicles

There has been a slight increase of thefts from and of motor vehicles nationally, generally key-less models are the main target.
Recently, thieves are targeting works vans by cutting part of the side and or rear doors which enables access into the vehicle where expensive tools are stolen.
Prevention: theft from:
* If you own a van of any make and model, please consider removing all valuables from within when the vehicle is unattended.
* Fitting and arming a “PIR style shed alarm or similar” in the rear of the van at night will sound if unauthorised people enter the back of the van.
* Park in a well lit area.
Prevention: theft of:
* Fit a quality full faced steering wheel lock when the vehicle is not in use.
* ( key-less models) place the fob in a signal blocking pouch when the vehicle is not in use ( including the spare)
* If possible, fit a driveway post.
